A series of short, focused talks on the behavioral science advantage in healthcare.

Session 3: Building Better Insights
Thursday, August 27, 12-12:30pm ET

Most research is built entirely on self-reported stories. However, most of what drives our behavior is invisible to us. When asked why we do what we do, we build an explanation that makes sense, but is often wrong. This session covers how to diagnose the real drivers behind a decision through the questions you ask and the behavior you observe.

Can't make it live? Register and we'll send you the recording.

In 30 minutes, you'll walk away with:

  • Why confident, articulate answers are often the least reliable ones in your dataset

  • Question techniques that surface what's really happening, instead of what someone believes about themselves

  • Where to find behavioral evidence in data your organization already collects

  • How to design and interpret research for greater business impact

Who it's for:

  • Medical affairs teams capturing and reporting field insights

  • Insights functions in pharma, biotech, and beyond

  • Agencies conducting research or building strategy for clients

  • Commercial and brand teams acting on research they didn't run

  • Patient services teams designing around reported barriers to adherence

  • Anyone whose plans depend on what customers, patients, or stakeholders
    tell them

Your host:
Suzanne Kirkendall, MPH has designed and run behavioral research for pharma, biotech, and startups. She holds an MPH from Columbia and publishes peer-reviewed research on behavior change. She translates the science of behavior into research design and interpretation to deliver insights with impact.

Past Sessions

Session 1: Health Literacy in the Age of AI
Thursday, June 30

People can't act on information they don't understand, and AI is now generating healthcare content at scale that doesn't reliably write for the patients and providers who need it most. This session introduced a framework for the decisions behind effective communications, applying a behavioral science lens so patients and busy clinicians actually act on what they read.

Session 2: Influence at the Frontline
Thursday, July 30

Two reps can know the same material and get completely different results in a real customer conversation. This session covered the behavioral techniques behind that difference, and how to train them so they show up in the field rather than only in the workshop.
